When a client sees your photograph on a website or in an ad, it is often the very first time they actually "meet" you. Within those few brief seconds the "image" that you have presented creates a mental picture of "who you are". This is why it is of the utmost importance that you - and your photographer - understand exactly what you wish to convey in your imagery.
When you reach out to me, the first thing I will do is ask questions…i.e; what is this photo for and where will it be used? What kind of "image" do you wish to project? Do you already have an idea of what the photo might look like? What are the usage requirements? Based on your answers to these queries, I will put together a shot list and then assemble an estimate.
Upon your acceptance of the estimate, a session will be scheduled. You will receive a confirmation email and a PDF with helpful advice as to wardrobe, etc.
If the shoot involves a location, I will want to look at the site before hand (there is no charge as long as it is within a 15 mile radius of my studio). Scouting the location will let us both know if the site is workable and if so...where we will shoot and at what time of day. Knowing all of this ahead of time greatly helps eliminate problems down the road.
On the day of your session, my assistant and I will be ready and waiting with everything necessary to get the job done. And most importantly, I will be gently guiding you down the pathway… providing the direction necessary for you to look your best. I have a special talent in this area and it has been sharpened through many years of experience. You will also have the opportunity to see what we are creating as it’s happening, providing any feedback you think necessary.
When the session is completed, I will return to the office and select the best frames from your shoot. That edit will then be posted to a password protected online gallery. The gallery is generally viewable within 48 hours of the session and stays up for 30 days. If at any point you want my input in making a decision as to your finals, you can call the studio and schedule a telephone conference.
Once you have made your selections...I will adjust, maximize and retouch your finals to the same standards seen here on this site. When they are ready, you will receive proofs of the retouched finals via email and have the opportunity to ask for any tweaks.
Upon your approval, I will then prepare two versions of each final.
- a 300 dpi high res jpeg for print reproduction - a 120 dpi low res jpeg for the web
They will be delivered online via We Transfer.
Storage of the completed files is your responsibility once you’ve received them. I do archive all finals however, so if you lose or misplace them along the way…they can be retrieved for a small fee.
